Frugal Living Right Ways of Budgeting (Part 1)
Savvy Shopper
Creating budgets could be done out of necessity or out of habit. Nevertheless, every individual should make it a practice to save and manage the money the best way possible. The following are some ways to make an effective budgeting technique: Take savings seriously One of the key factors that make budgeting a successful task is sparing some pennies for savings. The money you will be saving could provide you with so many possible purposes in the future. But if you are to do it, be certain to be serious about it especially when you have a concrete goal or objective as to where you will be spending the money you have saved. It is best if you will set a certain amount that you will regularly contribute in your savings, and make it a point to adhere with it. It is not fair if your savings money will only come from the change or excess pennies from your shopping sprees, although it is a good idea to include such act as one of the ways in saving your money. Refer to your previous expenditures Make it a habit to collect your monthly bills (electricity, water, telephone, credit card, etc) so that you can keep tabs on your consumption trends. Looking over to your previous expenses will give you huge hints with the amount you would likely be paying for your statements of account and total outlays for the current period. Also, you should consider the effects of seasonal factors in your expenses. Expectedly, you will have a larger sum dedicated to electricity bills during summer especially if you did not exert much effort to lessen your electric consumption; and during winters or cold seasons, your electric bills will yield lower figures due to infrequent use of electric fans or air conditioners. Other seasonal expenditures could include medical bills for annual check-ups and payments for gas tanks. Keep a written record of your budget When you do budgets, make sure to devote sufficient time in doing such. Prepare your calculator, pen, notebook, and statements of account. You can also use spreadsheet tools in your computer to organize your money. Do not keep your budget wandering in your thoughts. If you are to budget, do it properly. Having a written record of your budget will remind and discipline you of your desired plan.
